Bulking Mug Cake

Ingredients

1 serve protein powder


2 tablespoons flour


1 teaspoon baking powder


1 tablespoon cacao powder


1 tablespoon chocolate chips


Sprinkle of salt


1/4 cup plant milk


1 tablespoon coconut oil


Sugar or sweetener (optional)


Method

Mix the protein powder, flour, baking powder, cacao powder, chocolate chips and salt together in a (very large) mug or potentially in a small bowl (this is quite a big cake).


Melt the coconut oil in the microwave for 1 minute.


Stir the melted coconut oil and plant milk into the dry ingredients and mix well. Make sure there are no hidden clumps of dry protein powder.


Add optional sugar or sweetener depending on your flavour of protein powder and how extreme your sweet tooth is.


Microwave for around 1½-2 minutes, a little less time if you like some gooeyness or longer for a firmer texture.


Drizzle with some sort of gooey topping (essential step):

- smooth peanut butter

- warm berry mix

- caramel / chocolate / berry sauce

- maple syrup

- yoghurt


Eat entire cake.
